What is a VPS?

A VPS stands for Virtual Private Server. As the name implies it is your own private server which is hosted in the cloud/on the Internet. Like any server it is always on 24/7 and constantly online.
Think of your VPS as a personal computer that you rent on a monthly basis. This computer is located within our datacentre based in the UK. You then access your computer through the internet and install your MT4 terminals so they run 24hrs per day.
Can I upgrade an existing server?

Yes you can. Just write an email to support@forexvps.net with the plan to which you want to upgrade your Forex VPS.
Why do I need a Forex VPS?
Answer:
Any Forex EA requires the trading terminal to be running 24/7. If the trading platform is offline or shutdown the EA ceases to function.
With our VPS you can install any trading platform with your EA and it let it run 24/7. You can access your VPS using the Remote Desktop Connection at any time and you will see that your platforms are still running as you left it.
How much technical knowledge do I need?

Virtual Private Server (VPS) is very easy to use as you will be using standard Remote Desktop Program (RDP) software (comes by default with every Windows edition) to connect. We also provide video tutorials. Please visit our Knowledge Base page for more information.
How do you bill?
Answer:
All charges are monthly and will be automatically paid from your Credit/Debit Cards, PayPal, Skrill, Coingate (Bitcoin / Cryptocurrencies) account (if you used subscribe option). ForexVPS.net services can be cancelled at any time and invoices are available through the web interface.
Which version of Windows should I order?
Answer:
It really is down to personal preference.
At the time of writing we offer 2008 and 2012. The reason for not offering 2003 is that by default the operating system has some limitations and security holes which we aren't keen on and we believe that Forex VPS need to be extremely security concious.
2008 is like Windows 7 and 2012 is like Windows 8. So you might like to pick the version that you are more familiar with. 2012 takes up a little more disk space, so you will end up with less disk space on you virtual server for your own files.
Other than that, take your pick. Neither is faster/slower.
